Bob Gray has been a member of the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce since 1992, dedicating 26 years to this organization and our community. He originally joined to “be more involved in the Rocky River culture and participate in community activities”, Gray shared.

Gray has always focused on community. He founded Gray CPA in 1984 with the purpose to provide meaningful accounting, tax, and planning services to new and growing businesses. “We strive to be proactive in helping our clients understand their financial statements and taxes and how to run a growing business,” Gray says. To this day, Gray is proud to say they still work with their very first client from ’84, sharing “we have enjoyed long term relationship with our client base!”

Today, July 1, 2019, is an extra special day for Gray. It’s his first day of retirement! “After my 35th tax season, I am turning the business over to Misty Aschenbach,” Gray shares with trust. Aschenbach has been with the firm for 18 years, and he is confident that their clients will continued to be served with dedication and loyalty by the entire staff.

How is Gray spending his first day of retirement? On the golf course, of course – playing in the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing at Avon Oaks Country! A longtime committee member for this event, Bob finds it fun and a beneficial networking event, plus very exciting with the any prizes up for grabs!

The Chamber wishes Bob a happy retirement, and we look forward to seeing him at the annual Golf Outing for years to come!

FUN FACTS about Bob: He has been a resident of the Rocky River community since 1975, and he’s lived within one mile of Lake Erie for most of his life. “I have four adult children, all of whom graduated from Rocky River High School and were swimmers,” he shares. “I work at, sometimes successfully, staying in shape through Crossfit, walking and other activities…I love playing with my six grandchildren and being on my boat.” Music is also a hobby for Gray, and specifically, he enjoys the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and other music venues.
