• Rocky River Chamber Education Fund

  • The Rocky River Chamber Education Fund (RRCEF) supports the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce’s interest in stimulating youth experiences in business. With a goal to peak interest and strengthen skills in business-minded high school students in Rocky River, the RRCEF has offered unique experiences over the years.

Originally formed in the ‘90s – the RRCEF was created to provide scholarships to graduating Rocky River High School (RRHS) students with intentions of majoring in business in college. However, over time, the Fund has evolved to create more opportunities for high school students at not only RRHS, but also Lutheran West High School and Magnificat High School.

The RRCEF now sponsors one [or two!] students each year to attend the Ohio Business Week, a week-long program focusing on business for high school students. The experience is annually hosted in July, offering a program which provides each student the opportunity to participate in and develop innovative business concepts.

  • The Rocky River Education Fund allows the Chamber to hire a high school intern annually. This opportunity allows a local teenager to work in an office environment, gaining administrative experience and supporting large-scale events. Meet this year’s intern, Marissa Thompson.

  • Throughout the year, the Chamber strives to raise funds for the RREF. Specifically, the Chamber’s Libation Tour and Christmas Party are fundraisers in support of these endeavors; and, the Chamber hosts 50/50 raffles at monthly luncheons to raise additional funds. Learn more about how to support these efforts, email the Chamber today!
