The Welsh Home in Rocky River has been a long-time Rocky River Chamber of Commerce member, and they have deep roots in the community, opening their doors in 1913! Teschner started getting involved in the Chamber four years ago, “I think it is important to support the community, who supports our business. It has been a great experience to meet other local business and community leaders and feel a part of the community.”
 
Teschner serves on the Business Expo committee, volunteering her time to assure the event is a success each year. “It has been great to be a part of the behind the scenes planning and implementation of such a rewarding event for Chamber members,” Teschner said. She, along with the other dedicated volunteers on the committee, are looking forward to this year’s networking event on Thursday, October 10th – connect with her, or the Chamber, for more information about participating or attending.
 
In addition to the Expo, Teschner looks forward to attending the monthly Chamber Luncheons. Her favorite is hosted in March, as she enjoys the annual “State of the City” address by the Rocky River Mayor, Pam Bobst. “I think it is encouraging and inspiring to hear the positive happenings in the community, and the future vision for Rocky River. We are all very privileged to be able to work in such a wonderful community,” Teschner shares.
 
Teschner is motivated by those around her daily, and she shares “it inspires me that we are part of such an engaging community that really works together to support each other. The majority of the residents we serve at The Welsh Home are from Rocky River and their families still reside in Rocky River. Residents and businesses in this community want each other to succeed and this to me is inspiring.”
 
FUN FACT about Lauren: She loves working in Rocky River, but she is a resident of Avon with my family. She is married with two energetic children, a 7-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. When they are not at one of our children’s many activities, they enjoy traveling and trying new adventures as a family!
