Upon moving back to Ohio, from Pittsburgh, Liz Boyd was thrilled to be returning home last summer. She and her husband decided to make Rocky River their home base and relocated to the west side. Boyd is a financial adviser for New York Life and immediately joined the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce in hopes of becoming an active member of the city.
 
Joining in July 2018, Boyd shares “being new to the west side, finally putting down roots and settling in, I wanted a way to become involved in my community and heard the Rocky River Chamber was a great avenue to do that.” She had hopes to connect with people and build new relationships, both professionally, but also personally. “I can say that in just six short months I’ve met some pretty great people through the Chamber and am excited to see what the next years will bring,” Boyd shares.
 
Thus far, Boyd has been a very active new member, attending mainly Chamber luncheons and networking events. She’s also looking forward to being part of our larger events and has jumped on board to be part of the Taste of River volunteer planning committee. “I’m really looking forward to experiencing the Taste of River and Business Expo for the first time this summer and fall,” Boyd shares.
 
Boyd has been a New York Life financial advisor for more than six years, striving to help her clients create a tailored plan best for their needs. She works with any type of financial goal, such as “helping young families who are starting out their saving/investment strategies all the way through to helping them secure their income during their retirement years and protecting their income along the way” she shares.
 
FUN FACTS about Liz: When she’s not jogging around the streets in Rocky River and the Metro Parks training for a race, Liz & her husband enjoy trying out new restaurants and frequent all the nearby breweries! #CLEfoodies
