Spooner Risk Control Services has recently rejoined the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce and already jumped in, getting heavily involved. Mike Kowalski, Regional Sales Manager, at Spooner has joined the Membership Committee and regularly attends Chamber Luncheons and networking events, including happy hours!

Spooner is a family owned business out of Westlake, specializing in full-service HR consulting. Spooner helps business owners manage everything from workers’ comp, payroll, unemployment, disability management, FMLA and a number of other HR related issues so that they can concentrate on growing their business. My role is to build strong relationships in the community to help not only our business grow, but also our clients.

Kowalski finds great value in these networking opportunities and was thrilled when his company decided to re-engage with the organization, “I’ve lived in Rocky River for the past 15 years and thought that with my role at Spooner,” he shares.

Since joining the Chamber, Kowalski has not only attended multiple events and joined a committee, but Spooner has served as a sponsor for the Golf Outing, bringing a very enthusiastic foursome to the event in July, and also excited to serve and exhibit at the Business Expo on Thurs., Oct. 10^th at the Civic Center. Kowalski has enjoyed being a part of all the community-wide events hosted by the Chamber, he shares, “the two most enjoyable events would have to be Business Expo and the Taste of River! Both are very well attended and bring the community to the local businesses.”

FUN FACTS about Mike :: Mike lives in the Library neighborhood of Rocky River with his wife and two daughters. He spends a lot of my time coaching soccer through Rocky River Soccer organization and also enjoys serving as a CYO basketball coach at St. Christopher.
